Our Marcell office was established in 2007 when Terry Schmitz and Greg Anselmo opened the doors with a vision of serving the heart of Northern Minnesota's lake country. Built on strong local relationships and a deep understanding of the area, the office quickly became a trusted resource for buyers and sellers throughout the region.
The name Edge of the Wilderness Realty is inspired by the nearby Edge of the Wilderness Scenic Byway, a route known for its lakes, forests, and rich Northwoods history. It perfectly reflects the lifestyle and properties we represent every day.
In 2017, the brokerage expanded into Grand Rapids through a partnership with Itasca Realty. When the offices merged, Edge of the Wilderness became a great addition to an already well-established group of agents serving the Grand Rapids area. Together, the combined team brought decades of local real estate knowledge, more than 50 years of collective experience, and strengthened our presence across Itasca County and beyond.
Today, our Marcell and Grand Rapids offices are home to eight top-producing agents who share the same commitment to community, client service, and deep local expertise. We take pride in helping people find their place in the Northwoods.
